Vela is a design with exceptionally innovative characteristics: the door can open both ways, that is, it can be opened in the same way from both sides. This is because it is located in the center of the jamb and the hinges are located on the bottom and top of the door. The jamb is built into the wall, thereby becoming invisible. Vela, with pivot opening, comes in two versions: with a patented magnetic closing profile and magnetic lock. Two innovative solutions that take full advantage of a basic physical principle, doing away with the need for mechanisms and always guaranteeing light, silent movements. Exclusive locks and handles, integral parts of a design that reflects Rimadesio’s constant wish to propose new solutions for internal doors.

Invisible innovation: the magnetic closing profile only emerges from the jamb when the door is closed. An example of the high quality design and aesthetics that are the distinguishing feature of Rimadesio designs.

The sliding version for built-in frames is characterized by an exclusively designed closing system. The handle and the pawl are put together in a primary geometric shape of very small dimensions.

The setting highlights the aesthetic quality of the Vela design. The jamb, which is encased in the wall, becomes invisible: the door is seen as a single glass surface, perfectly integrated into the wall.

Vela comes in two versions: with a magnetic closing profile (no lock) and with a lock fitted with a locking latch. For both the configurations the door opens in two directions. In the no-lock version, the door closes against a full height section that moves out from the jamb. In the version with a lock, the steel closing latch is attracted by the magnet built into the concealed jamb.

The aluminium structure of minimal thickness makes it to one single surface of light that exalts in the best possible way the qualities of transparency and luminosity of the glass. The option to make the door to measure allows the insertion in whichever architectonic situation.
