Throughout his career as an industrial designer, Xavi has learnt to observe and come up with solutions. He has looked for the perfect setting to work in, as everything is much easier when you are surrounded by inspiration that helps you design. So, when he discovered an industrial warehouse surrounded by green spaces, he decided to find the appropriate solution to change it into his home.

The project to fit out the industrial warehouse was no easy task, as special places also have special requirements. Xavi wanted to keep the charm of the surroundings and the industrial feel of the warehouse. He therefore designed the house with large windows, wood teams and installations on view that were kept as an essential feature of the house. The key to the design was based on the understated elegance of the chosen materials: cement, wood and metal, together with the framework provided by the garden.

In such a magnificent setting for the kitchen, it was decided to install a large central kitchen island and semi-columns for storage placed in the back on novel pedestals. The steel worktops enhances the industrial look of the whole composition and leaves household appliances, such as the fridge or oven, on show. The aluminium solution finished in titanium gives the kitchen a huge sensation of space where to cook and move around freely, with limitless storage in drawers and in columns. This kitchen is designed by and for Xavi. All the details make it a welcoming place for living.

Pure units in single materials such as acrylic resin, glass or steel have been designed to take away that boring work area look from the kitchen. The arrangement shown has a system that makes it possible to camouflage the hob, sink, tap and oven, making the most of the formal clean-cut lines of the arrangement which, with all its concealed functional elements, becomes pure domestic architecture. VALCUCINE FOR THE ENVIRONMENT Doors and worktops are in Cristalite, 100% antibacterial thanks to the presence of silver ions (already used as far back as the antique Romans). The 100% aluminum frame can be completely recycled. Less material used for the worktop and door.
