They opted for a delightful L-shape kitchen from the Glass range with a bar that adds this intimate and informal touch, a kitchen where they could share breakfasts, dinners, cups of coffee or simply chat while one of them cooks. Amalia and Eric combined wall furniture and columns in gloss grey lacquer with floor cupboards in Amberes grey. In order to give a light-hearted touch of colour, bright yellow was used for the bar, worktop and bay. The household appliances were hidden in cupboards with discrete handles, which resulted in a roomy and clean kitchen. A novel storage system using glass cubes in different colours was fitted which, away from the work zone, increases the kitchen space.

There is nothing like a beginning. So, you must live each day as if it were the first, as if it were the last… But you need the right setting to start a common project. Amalia and Eric have decided to share their lives and, therefore, they want the perfect setting.

When discussing the project for their first home, Amalia and Eric wanted a house that reflects the joy and excitement of beginnings. It had to have a fun and novel touch and showcase their personalities and age. They looked for a place without many luxuries, but which was different and welcoming, with an area where they can eat informally but also enjoy time with friends and family. Reflecting the life of a young couple without children.

It could not have been any different… a pure white kitchen, with an area that is completely uncluttered, where the white satin lacquer of all the fittings is highlighted by the light. The space opens up with two kitchen islands, which are totally separated from the cooking areas, hung from the air. The worktop that joins both islands provides a sensation of volatility and ergonomics, while making it easy to clean. The whole area is fitted with a large number of cupboard, both in the columns and in the islands. He has opted to get rid of handles and to use clips and an electrical opening system. This combination adds calm and balance and the outcome is a pure, elegant and discrete kitchen… just like him.

They say that the Mediterranean fills people with life and peace. But it is much more for Lluis, a perfumer by profession. He sees the seas as an infinity of aromas and textures, a thousand sensations that affect each part of his life and, inevitably, are transferred to the place that he shares with the people that he cares most about.

In love with the sea, he needs a peaceful place next to it, a space where the purity is balanced, which transmits all the sensations of the Mediterranean is calm. Near to the sea, things are seen from another perspective and we tried to capture the smell of the waves, as if the seawater would rush into the kitchen at any time… A place where he could enjoy the landscape, bare-footed, alone or in company, with space for a family and which transmit the tranquillity and good relationship among them, the taste for the Mediterranean and the desire to share.

The Glass model in gloss black and white lacquer was the right choice for this kitchen, as it reflected the sophistication of its owner. Highly aesthetical decoration and setting where there was room for practicality and comfort. The cooking and washing zones were separated from the storage zone, thanks to the two facing kitchen islands for perfect mobility and a separate column zone. The two kitchen islands are key features as they are placed facing each other and bathed in natural light that comes directly through the window, which perfectly fit in with the rest of the property.

After he had finished his post-graduate studies in marketing, Pablo decided to stay in the trend-setting and cosmopolitan city, where he trained to work as an executive in the stimulating world of fashion. He moved to a penthouse flat in the city centre where he could get away occasionally without going far from the bustle of the city.

When it came to decorating his flat, Pablo applied the same colour guidelines that he applied to the way he dressed: black and white. After so many business trips, he wanted his home to reflect his identity. He occasionally works there, but he also organises meetings and parties for his circle of friends, which is extensive due to the world in which he moves. He needed to create a place to return to and where he felt at home, together with a space to share music, anecdotes, confidences, catered dinners and drinks, and the kitchen had to be part of a whole and integrated into the rest of the house. However, Pablo also wanted to be able to enjoy the kitchen when he was alone, as part of a universe where he could rest and enjoy moments of inspiration and where the most important thing would always be present… light.

Throughout his career as an industrial designer, Xavi has learnt to observe and come up with solutions. He has looked for the perfect setting to work in, as everything is much easier when you are surrounded by inspiration that helps you design. So, when he discovered an industrial warehouse surrounded by green spaces, he decided to find the appropriate solution to change it into his home.

The project to fit out the industrial warehouse was no easy task, as special places also have special requirements. Xavi wanted to keep the charm of the surroundings and the industrial feel of the warehouse. He therefore designed the house with large windows, wood teams and installations on view that were kept as an essential feature of the house. The key to the design was based on the understated elegance of the chosen materials: cement, wood and metal, together with the framework provided by the garden.

In such a magnificent setting for the kitchen, it was decided to install a large central kitchen island and semi-columns for storage placed in the back on novel pedestals. The steel worktops enhances the industrial look of the whole composition and leaves household appliances, such as the fridge or oven, on show. The aluminium solution finished in titanium gives the kitchen a huge sensation of space where to cook and move around freely, with limitless storage in drawers and in columns. This kitchen is designed by and for Xavi. All the details make it a welcoming place for living.

A novel idea was to choose a kitchen hidden behind folding doors. The chosen solution did not make the kitchen into a feature, but added to the atmosphere of the rest of the house. This did not mean that the space was cramped or not functional as, despite being small, it had everything needed for a full kitchen. This kitchen therefore easily and discretely fitted in with the rest of the house, and can be left open or closed as Helena wants and with a special touch of originality and freshness thanks to the layered red and orange gloss colours.

Playing with waves for Helena is the nearest sensation to freedom that she knows and that is precisely the feeling that she wants to generate constantly around her whether she is going out with friends, painting graffiti or relaxing on a sofa of her refurbished studio on the coast where she surfs, whenever her social or work commitments allow her to.

Helena wanted to live near the sea, which is why she wanted to buy a small seaside apartment with her parents’ help. She wanted a bright, comfortable and roomy space. When it came to refurbishing it, her priorities were using metres for a roomy bedroom and bathroom and the remaining area would be an area to get together with friends, a place to paint or relax on the sofa and watch TV. Her lifestyle and her lack of interest in cooking meant that little space was left for the kitchen.
