An integrated space that was differentiated from the rest of the house was achieving, where the kitchen, cupboards, wash and cooking areas are combined in a single block. It is all suspended in the air. As a tribute to a routine profession that requires great dedication, Martín made the work zone the main feature, with the cleaning zone and the area with the household appliance apart. A sensation of spruceness and simplicity that combines perfectly with traditional oak wood with gloss black lacquer and stainless steel, where the brightness of the doors subtly adjusts with the matt of the worktops.

Words may be carried away on the wind, but, strangely enough, our brain has a small area to store the flavours that have formed part of our life. And, for Martín, a professional cook, connecting flavours and emotions is what makes his work special…

Martín bought a gunwale where he lives away from noise, smoke and the rat race. When he refurbished it, he thought about a traditional kitchen but combined with his love of innovating, testing and evolving. He wanted an open place where the task of cooking, his conversations or background music would form part of the same space, a place that would allow him to enjoy the kitchen, the peace of the setting and the unrivalled ritual of trying new sensations. He needed a place where he could be himself and enjoy his greatest hobby… cooking.

A kitchen built into the rest of the house was the perfect solution for Francesca. A spacious and, above all, functional kitchen was designed, where the cooking utensils and any food item was always close at hand. High columns with a large storage capacity, where she could easily find what she was looking for, were chosen. Given Francesca’s love of cooking and getting together with her nearest and dearest, we decided that the main feature would be a huge central kitchen island, with more than enough space to work and eat there. Oak wood with a graphite finish and stainless-steel bar handles that, combined with the black marble tops, create a kitchen that reflects Francesca’s personality and tastes.

Francesca’s life has always been driven by curiosity and the need to learn about different countries, cultures, artistic trends… She is a women who is open to new discoveries and faithful to past experiences and memories, a women who enjoys everything she comes across. Because she sees life as knowledge and experience…

When Francesca decided to refurbish her flat in the city centre, it was clear that she wanted a place where she could get together with friends and family, chat, look at the photos from her trips, listen to music or enjoy a delicious cup of coffee as she read the newspaper. Her love of reading and collecting meant that her ideal space would be light and bright, and showcase the items that she had brought back from around the world. The refurbishing had to combine the Neoclassical style of the building where she had lived for years with her love or art and a certain trend to renovate. Her kitchen had to be open to the rest of the flat by combining classic details, such as high ceilings and mouldings, with more contemporary features.

The latest creation 2009 of Strato is a kitchen that highly represent its style: simple, original, and elegant as usual. This kitchen was made in Igloo system: the no-handle door opening system which gives clean shapes and uniformity of facade. The sides of the columns are in stainless steel and the fronts are in oak wood, a special and rare oak coming from the subsoil that has a smoked color naturally. The two column elements allow great freedom in placing them, they can be put next to each other of separated; the two islands also offer this flexibility, they are “C-shaped” mirror-like to each other, one contains the washing area, the other is equipped with glass-ceramic hob. At the side of the worktops we find two chopping boards of ebony wood, if the two islands were placed together they would look like a single piece. In the islands the fronts are in grey Stratocolor and the sides and the worktops are a single sheet of satin finished stainless steel. This kitchen is made up of four modules, their independence allows great freedom and flexibility, it is a useful idea for those who move quite often or who simply like to change the position to their furniture from time to time. Functionality, flexibility, geometries and balance, high quality of materials and sought after pieces. The distinguishing marks of Strato evolve and become more firm.

It is a contemporary wood type that combines perfectly with materials such as steel and gloss lacquer and can be personalized with horizontal inlays in wood or aluminum.

This programme suggests the idea of a new kitchen: urban, architectural, incredibly flexible thanks to an innovative scheme that allows many combination. Innovative are the coloured sheet-steels, the combination of steel and wood, all in a view to a kitchen that can mix lightness with very thick profiles.

The islands are strongly characterized by the tops and side panels that come from a single bent steel panel with a visible thickness of 8 mm. The contrast between these thin profiles and thicker elements distinguish the project with a strong look. Functional elements made of coloured sheet-steels create a highlight that melts with the stainless steel units and the parts made of solid natural iroko, a wood that being highly water proof and strong is ideal for a long use.

El_01 is characterized by many innovations that make it different from all other kitchens manufactured all over the world. The internal structure of the units is light grey as well as the shelves. Doors and drawers have a recessed handle. Drawers can be supplied on request with an electric mechanism for the push opening. There are many finishes available: matt and glossy lacquer, pre-composed of stained oak, steel.
