Giorgia kitchens are characterized by the minimalist geometry and colors of their compositions. Light and reflections are designed to create dramatic effect on these mostly peninsula compositions. The cylinder-shaped steel and glass hoods creates a sophisticated contrast with the square line of the compositions. Peculiar handles decorates the surface of doors. Columns are come with two square ovens embedded in them. Some layouts are consist only of wall-mounted cabinet solutions. Giorgia kitchens are perfect for creating “kitchen-living” environment.

Steel is being used more and more often in the kitchen because of its technical characteristics of resistance and hygiene as well as the sense of professionalism that it gives off. Steel does however have one serious fault: it shows hand prints even if the hands are clean. Valcucine has adopted a new treatment for aluminum which, through a satin finshing and special oxidization, takes on the look of steel, but without the bothersome problem of fingerprints.

The latest creation 2009 of Strato is a kitchen that highly represent its style: simple, original, and elegant as usual. This kitchen was made in Igloo system: the no-handle door opening system which gives clean shapes and uniformity of facade. The sides of the columns are in stainless steel and the fronts are in oak wood, a special and rare oak coming from the subsoil that has a smoked color naturally. The two column elements allow great freedom in placing them, they can be put next to each other of separated; the two islands also offer this flexibility, they are “C-shaped” mirror-like to each other, one contains the washing area, the other is equipped with glass-ceramic hob. At the side of the worktops we find two chopping boards of ebony wood, if the two islands were placed together they would look like a single piece. In the islands the fronts are in grey Stratocolor and the sides and the worktops are a single sheet of satin finished stainless steel. This kitchen is made up of four modules, their independence allows great freedom and flexibility, it is a useful idea for those who move quite often or who simply like to change the position to their furniture from time to time. Functionality, flexibility, geometries and balance, high quality of materials and sought after pieces. The distinguishing marks of Strato evolve and become more firm.

This programme suggests the idea of a new kitchen: urban, architectural, incredibly flexible thanks to an innovative scheme that allows many combination. Innovative are the coloured sheet-steels, the combination of steel and wood, all in a view to a kitchen that can mix lightness with very thick profiles.

The islands are strongly characterized by the tops and side panels that come from a single bent steel panel with a visible thickness of 8 mm. The contrast between these thin profiles and thicker elements distinguish the project with a strong look. Functional elements made of coloured sheet-steels create a highlight that melts with the stainless steel units and the parts made of solid natural iroko, a wood that being highly water proof and strong is ideal for a long use.

El_01 is characterized by many innovations that make it different from all other kitchens manufactured all over the world. The internal structure of the units is light grey as well as the shelves. Doors and drawers have a recessed handle. Drawers can be supplied on request with an electric mechanism for the push opening. There are many finishes available: matt and glossy lacquer, pre-composed of stained oak, steel.

At Milan Design Week 2009 Marco Gorini introduces Strato 031, sophisticated kitchen result of a project centered on attention to details Today the contemporary kitchen environment represents a place where creativity and conviviality are expressed, a space that integrates perfectly in the rest of the house, an intimate spot able to rouse intense emotions in which to spend pleasant moments together with the others in harmony with our own personality and taste. Keeping in mind the manners of the new culture of living Marco Gorini has created Strato 031, result of an ambitious and sophisticated project expressing individual personality. This extraordinary creation stands out for something special in a fully-developed luxury characterized by a discretion whose themes are rigorous shapes, essential lines, games of joints; all this with no compromise with functionality. For Strato 031, exceptional piece of deign, Strato has reserved a particular attention to the search of precious materials using, besides to stainless steel and stone, the rare and valuable fossil durmast, unusual wood not deriving from deforestation but form the subsoil, fruit of the course of nature which gave it its special smoky look. Strato 031 is made up of two units: one block against the wall and an island interpreting the wish to share the space and the pleasures of the table. The vertical unit is made up of a satin finished stainless steel structure with no junctions framing four columns with fossil durmast doors. The two central doors are fitted out with foldaway opening and integrated electrical appliances, thanks to this system those are at easy reach when in use, and in any other moment the uniformity of the front is preserved. The side columns are to use as storage, their interior structure is in brown stone, shelves in glass, because according to Strato the finishing and the preciousness have to live not only in the exterior parts, but also inside, not only in what is visible to anyone, but also in that dimension concerning ourselves only. The hood, imposing and harmonic, is made up of one block of stainless steel finding its support on the top of the vertical furniture and stretching out to guarantee the aspiration until hanging over the cooking area. The island is really special and complex, to be seen to be touched to be understood. Stainless steel structure, covering panels of the top and fronts in fossil durmast, fossil durmast and stainless steel for the interiors. The worktop is covered by three panels: two of them are sliding and give access to cooking and washing area, here a flexible tap allows perfect closure. The back of the island is an “el” shaped one-block stainless steel crossing the shoulder of the other side.
