Aura, a new step in Rimadesio’s path of design for internal doors. The idea of a surface of lacquered glass with a thin aluminum frame that fuses into the walls in an increasing easure. It has a thin aluminum surround. Aura is perfectly two-sided, equipped with a two-way opening and a patented magnetic closing system that cannot be seen and that does ot require an ordinary lock. The exclusive patented die-cast handle is characterized by its lacquered glass insert in the same color as the doors.

Research design that aims increasingly towards integrating, as far as possible, design solutions and architectural spaces: complete aesthetic essentialism and the possibility of made-to-measure fittings render Aura capable of heightening the stylistic quality of settings.

The Aura swing door equipped with magnetic lock includes the exclusively-designed handle, available in the version with a locking pawl or with key. All the Aura door handles are a patented exclusive design.They all have an opaque satin finish. The Aura swing version with magnetic lock comes with two aesthetically different handles that are fitted onto the same locking block. Both versions are equipped with the locking pawl or a key.

The Aura sliding door is as versatile in size as the swing model, with two made to measure doors. Rimadesio’s technological research has made it possible to design a door that slides all the way back into the counter frame thereby guaranteeing maximum aesthetic quality in all fittings.

The Aura door’s design is special because it can be used to have extremely big doors, nonetheless guaranteeing maximum stability and precision in movement. The made to measure swing door is available in two versions, reaching a maximum possible height of 2600 mm and a maximum possible width of 1200 mm. In the latter case the rotation pin is placed 150 mm inside the door so as to ensure greater stability and linear movements.

At Milan Design Week 2009 Marco Gorini introduces Strato 031, sophisticated kitchen result of a project centered on attention to details Today the contemporary kitchen environment represents a place where creativity and conviviality are expressed, a space that integrates perfectly in the rest of the house, an intimate spot able to rouse intense emotions in which to spend pleasant moments together with the others in harmony with our own personality and taste. Keeping in mind the manners of the new culture of living Marco Gorini has created Strato 031, result of an ambitious and sophisticated project expressing individual personality. This extraordinary creation stands out for something special in a fully-developed luxury characterized by a discretion whose themes are rigorous shapes, essential lines, games of joints; all this with no compromise with functionality. For Strato 031, exceptional piece of deign, Strato has reserved a particular attention to the search of precious materials using, besides to stainless steel and stone, the rare and valuable fossil durmast, unusual wood not deriving from deforestation but form the subsoil, fruit of the course of nature which gave it its special smoky look. Strato 031 is made up of two units: one block against the wall and an island interpreting the wish to share the space and the pleasures of the table. The vertical unit is made up of a satin finished stainless steel structure with no junctions framing four columns with fossil durmast doors. The two central doors are fitted out with foldaway opening and integrated electrical appliances, thanks to this system those are at easy reach when in use, and in any other moment the uniformity of the front is preserved. The side columns are to use as storage, their interior structure is in brown stone, shelves in glass, because according to Strato the finishing and the preciousness have to live not only in the exterior parts, but also inside, not only in what is visible to anyone, but also in that dimension concerning ourselves only. The hood, imposing and harmonic, is made up of one block of stainless steel finding its support on the top of the vertical furniture and stretching out to guarantee the aspiration until hanging over the cooking area. The island is really special and complex, to be seen to be touched to be understood. Stainless steel structure, covering panels of the top and fronts in fossil durmast, fossil durmast and stainless steel for the interiors. The worktop is covered by three panels: two of them are sliding and give access to cooking and washing area, here a flexible tap allows perfect closure. The back of the island is an “el” shaped one-block stainless steel crossing the shoulder of the other side. Strong character and refinement, Strato 031 is a timeless piece confirming the comeback to pure and essential shapes in contemporary kitchen and sticking to Strato’s tradition, it never gives up its innate class and the highest quality.

In occasion of Milan Design Week 2009 Marco Gorini, world famous designer, enriches Strato’s collection with the introduction of STRATO 015, hard to resist to the charm of this kitchen, inimitable in style. STRATO 015 is a new piece of work standing out for the attention to details and for the choice of precious materials, those have always been characterizing the brand, icon of Made in Italy . The achievement of this extraordinary piece, a sober and elegant creation marked by a refined game of lights where glassy and opaque surfaces are alternated in balance and harmony, was permitted by experienced craftsmanship together with technical know-how, carefully preserved in the factory, in Talamona. Marco Gorini has conceived Strato 015 keeping to a logic of modules and to a mainly horizontal development to guarantee absolute comfort and to satisfy the needs of those who adore living the contemporary kitchen environment with style and personality. STRATO 015 is composed of two operative areas and a turning 360 degrees island offering the greatest freedom in use and excellent flexibility. The satin finished stainless steel worktop is a wide operative area containing two washing basins; underneath the deep and ample drawers are made in black stratocolor, a superior quality laminate whom Marco Gorini immediately understood resistance and practicalness; over the top a sliding in horizontal sense with an easy folding opening system wall unit. The worktop is contiguous to a satin finished stainless steel structure containing two columns incorporating the fridge and useful shelves. STRATO 015’s cooking area is in the second worktop whose deep drawers are hanging, thus enhancing a sense of lightness and matching the geometric character of the other elements. The wall covering is a mirror, aimed at letting light into the domestic environment throughout a considered contrast between opacity and transparence , and to support the vanity of the kitchen user. Oven and dishwasher are easily accessible through a special satin finishes stainless steel “big el” shaped sliding door, this one-block steel also incorporates the hood. The black stratocolor island rotates 360 degrees and it is “big el” shaped: shelves are in the base and can be reached through elegant extra mirror steel sliding doors; the top is made of two materials whose unification point is silky at the touch, this smoothness is typical of Strato’s junction between different materials and it is achieved thanks to manual finishing, in this case we have black B1 stratocolor for the overhang to be used as a table, and absolute black diorite, very resistant material with which the island offers further room for preparing and laying food. STRATO 015, extraordinarily beautiful, is 100% chic design. It introduces some innovative solutions and is doomed to mark, once again, Strato’s collections uniqueness, finding in Marco Gorini, the company founder, the representative and the inspiring man.

The Stages line of kitchen sinks, part of the Chef Inspired Collection, was developed in collaboration with professional chefs in order to meet the needs of the serious home cook. The large, deep basin offers ample room for cleaning large pots and pans, while the stepped side platform provides a convenient area for staging or cleaning produce or drying dishes. The sink comes included with a wide range of accessories designed to enhance the sink’s functionality and allow the user to work more efficiently in their kitchen.

Thanks to the new Invitrum base units’ system, Valcucine has made the first kitchen in the world completely out of aluminium and glass that respects the main rules of eco-sustainable design: dematerialisation, recyclability, reduction of toxic emissions and durability. The Invitrum base units’ system has also been designed following the principle of using less raw materials and energy. The single 10mm thick glass side panel eliminates the use of two, normal, 36mm thick chipboard sides and achieves a saving of 73% on raw materials.

Artematica is the first door in the world made of a resistant and lightweight structural aluminium frame and an aesthetic finishing panel that is only 5mm thick. The evolution of Artematica resulted in the birth of Ricicla that subsequently evolved into the current Riciclantica. Thanks to the use of new materials such as carbon, aluminium and a special type of glass, it has been possible to further dematerialise the door panel without jeopardising its physical resistance and achieving a thickness of only 2mm. The top and the doors consist in an aluminium structural frame and a tempered glass surface. Sophisticated studies and high technical expertise have made it possible to obtain a slim glass panel that is extremely resistant to impact and to extend our guarantee to 15 years.

Valcucine uses sturdy, fine textured, carbon-finish runners that integrate perfectly with the aluminium profiles and the tempered glass bottom panel. The use of glass and secondary aluminium guarantees the total recyclability of this kitchen. Using secondary aluminium also means consuming only one-twentieth of the energy needed to obtain primary aluminium.

For as much as regards disposal, Valcucine knows that the environmental impact of a product is a potential raw materials’ resource if it has been designed to simplify disassembly. The Invitrum glass base unit has been designed to be easily disassembled once it has finished its life cycle: the system consists in single materials that are joined together by purely mechanical joints. Using only aluminium and glass, which are inert materials, together with the special design that employs purely mechanical joints instead of adhesives, guarantees the total elimination of toxic emissions. The doors, the carcasses and the worktop can remain soaking in water for a long period of time because there are no edges to come unstuck, nor are there external finishes that have been subsequently applied.

Ceposi is a full set of bedroom furniture which includes wardrobes, beds, drawers and other accessories. The key features of this range are a clear and straightforward style of design, a contrasting mixture of colours and materials as well as some craftsman-like details. CEPOSI provides an elegant, modestly radiant white lacquer version – with optional touches in anthracite for creating your own individual look – or the natural, expressive structured beech version – in a modern combination with white lacquer or high-gloss white. The clever use of white lacquer with contrasting oak anthracite or structural beech for the handles and passepartout of the wardrobes have an elegant appeal. The top drawer of the consoles and chests are always in contrasting rear-lacquered glass and leather inserts on the headboard of the bed combine to create a serenely calm atmosphere.

Wardrobes
Hinge door wardrobes are available in 4 widths that when combined can provide many width options. There is a choice of white lacquer, high gloss white or mirrors for the wardrobe doors and the optional use of a surrounding frame (passepartout). Optional top lamps above each wardrobe are also available. The many optional interior fittings can achieve plenty of storage space.

Beds
There are two different bed frames available. The headboard can finish flush with the lower bedframe or overhang by 35 cm on each side. Both versions are available in four widths, two lengths and 3 finishes. Highlights are the genuine leather fittings on the bed. Swing-out LED reading lights with a swan-neck and LED lower bedside lights with a motion sensor are optional.

Drawer and low units
Bedside chests are available in widths of 50 and 70 cm with 2 drawers, the top drawer is always in a contrasting colour with a rear-lacquered glass front. There are two further chests available 83.3 cm high and 115 cm wide cm deep with a drawer and 2 doors or with 3 drawers.

Accessories
The range is completed with optional table lamps, wall shelves in three widths and mirrors in two sizes.
